Job summary

Department of Regional NSW is seeking an experienced Senior Land Services Project Officer to coordinate and manage the Climate Smart Agriculture project across the Northern Tablelands Local Land Services region. The role is a 38hrs Grade 6 opportunity based in Armidale with travel to Inverell, Glen Innes or Tenterfield.

• Experience delivering projects within budgets, timeframes and governance frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation capabilities.
• Willingness to travel throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate delivery of the Climate Smart Agriculture project across the Northern Tablelands region.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, governance requirements and reporting obligations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with landholders, community groups, industry representatives, contractors and government stakeholders.
• Oversee project activities, contractors and service providers to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on project outcomes using established project management and MERI frameworks.
• Provide evidence-based advice and recommendations to support project objectives.
• Facilitate engagement, extension and capacity-building activities that support sustainable farming practices.
• Contribute to Local Land Services strategic priorities and regional outcomes.
