Job summary

Technical Resources Pty Ltd seeks a senior Civil/Structural Engineer to drive design development for major mining water infrastructure, including tanks, pump stations and bulk water pipelines. You will own the civil and structural basis, coordinate ESP outputs, and lead multidisciplinary reviews on site south of the river with permitted remote work options.

You bring a tertiary Civil/Structural degree with 10+ years' experience, strong design management, and proven ability to translate

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Typically 10+ years' relevant experience with senior discipline responsibility.
• Strong design and design management capability across water infrastructure, mining, mineral processing or alumina projects.
• Brownfield/greenfield experience with tanks, pump stations, treatment plants and bulk water pipelines.
• Proven expertise in civil and structural calculations and integration of external consultants.
• Clear technical communication and experience supporting geotechnical investigations, procurement and construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and verify earthworks, drainage, roads, reinforced concrete, structural steel, equipment foundations and pipe support designs.
• Translate geotechnical inputs, site constraints and equipment loads into fit-for-purpose design requirements.
• Manage ESP scopes, deliverables, technical reviews and comment close-out; assure quality, schedule and cost performance.
• Resolve interfaces across process, mechanical, piping, electrical and construction teams.
• Drive option assessments, constructability and design risk reviews; deliver assured documentation for estimates, approvals and next project phase.

Job description

Drive civil and structural engineering for a major mining water infrastructure project, supporting future water supply to mine operations. Lead design development and assure engineering service provider (ESP) outputs across water treatment and bulk/distribution reticulation.

The opportunity

• Own the civil and structural design basis, criteria and technical assurance for FEL 2.
• Influence safe, constructible, maintainable solutions across multidisciplinary water infrastructure.
• Work office-based South of the River, with project-permitted WFH.

• Strong design and design management capability across water infrastructure, mining, mineral processing or alumina projects.
• Brownfield/greenfield experience with tanks, pump stations, treatment plants and bulk water pipelines.
• Proven expertise in civil and structural calculations, multidisciplinary integration and assurance of external engineering consultants.
• Clear technical communication and experience supporting geotechnical investigations, procurement and construction.
