A leading engineering company is looking for a Senior Civil or Mechanical Engineer to manage and deliver water and wastewater projects. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and 8 to 12 years of relevant experience. This role requires strong project management and client relationship skills, alongside technical abilities in design management. We are seeking a Senior Civil or Mechanical Engineer with a track record in delivering water and/or wastewater projects in either networks or treatment plants, to utilize your experience to drive the strategic development and continued growth of our team’s capabilities, and the delivery of complex water and wastewater projects for our clients.
You will manage the design of small to medium sized projects as well as develop your technical skills by working as part of the design team or assisting the design manager for large projects. You will bring an appetite for building and maintaining strong client relationships and a passion for delivering as part of a high performing team.
You will play a key role in delivery of ambitious and interesting projects, allowing you a balance of technical work, design management, project management, operational support, business development and client engagement.
We value wellness and flexibly, your role can be part-time or full‑time, and you can be based in Newcastle or any of our other Northern NSW offices (Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Tuggerah, Tamworth, Orange or Lismore).
