Job summary

Scotford Fennessy in NSW seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead a drafter/designer and junior engineers, while remaining hands-on in technical and engineering work across concept design, fee proposals and client meetings.

You will deliver full life cycle responsibility for medium to large scale projects, including roads, civil infrastructure, schools and hospitals, with flexible hours and an employee-owned culture that supports internal growth toward shareholder participation.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree with 7+ years experience in civil engineering in the NSW market.
• Experience in design, technical execution and project management in engineering consulting.
• Civil works for building developments and general civil infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead a drafter/designer and junior engineers on projects.
• Stay hands-on with technical work, contribute to concept design, fee proposals and client meetings.
• Oversee full life cycle of medium to large scale project scope.

Job description

• Run on a project based structure, so as a Senior Civil Engineer, take on a drafter/designer and junior engineers to use as resources on your projects
• Still remain hands on in terms of the technical and engineering work, involvement in concept design, fee proposals, client meetings etc, 80/20 split
• Work with builders and developers, subdivisions, schools, hospitals, aged care, mixed use developments, retail etc – pavement, water quality, stormwater, roads, etc
• Repeat clients and established team, approachable partners, plenty of support
• Full life cycle of project responsibility, medium to large scale project scope for experienced seniors
• Flexible start and finish times, WFH, paid parental leave

Requires Engineering Degree with 7+ years experience in civil engineering in the local NSW market, design, technical and project management experience in the engineering consulting space across developments, civil works for building developments and general civil infrastructure.
