GHD is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Queensland to lead key civil and transport projects in Bundaberg or Hervey Bay. You will deliver technical design, manage client relationships, and mentor junior staff across roads, drainage, and urban development.

You bring a Civil Engineering degree with RPEQ, strong project leadership, and proficiency in 12d, CIRCLY, DRAINS, and MUSIC. You will navigate codes and standards to drive safe, sustainable outcomes for public and private clients.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree (Civil) with RPEQ status.
• Proactive, client-centric approach contributing to business growth.
• Robust project management capabilities & technical lead on diverse projects.
• Experience in design and delivery of civil infrastructure (roads, stormwater, urban development, water/wastewater).
• Proficiency in civil engineering software such as 12d, CIRCLY, DRAINS, MUSIC.
• Strong understanding of codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Technical, hands-on delivery on roads, stormwater, urban development, and other civil infrastructure projects in the region for public and private clients.
• Leading and working as part of a team on projects from conception, including design, management, site works, and construction surveillance.

GHD's expanding Wide Bay operations present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to lead key projects and foster business development by building strong client partnerships. The role can be based in either Bundaberg or Hervey Bay.

What will you bring to the team?

• Engineering Degree (Civil) with Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) status.
• Demonstrate a proactive, client-centric approach, actively contributing to business growth by identifying opportunities with both new and existing clients.
• Exhibit robust project management capabilities, confidently serving as the technical lead across diverse projects.
• Extensive experience in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, stormwater, urban development, water/wastewater systems).
• Proficiency in civil engineering software such as 12d, CIRCLY, DRAINS, MUSIC.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
