Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to provide technical advice across bulk earthworks, roadworks and drainage, and to coordinate construction staging with other design disciplines.

You will guide junior engineers and drafters, manage stakeholder relationships, and promote continuous improvement, quality, and value engineering for infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive civil engineering experience delivering resource and infrastructure projects.
• Proven technical acumen with proven experience of managing and delivering design solutions.
• Record of accomplishment in effective cross-discipline project delivery and an effective collaborator with all key engineering disciplines
• A collaborative approach and appreciation of the value of teamwork.
• A passion for continuous improvement, quality and improving service for our clients.
• High attention to detail, good analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing Technical advice for all aspects of civil design including bulk earthworks, roadworks, drainage, construction staging, constructability, and interfaces with other disciplines.
• Develop technical and feasibility studies and development of drawings that satisfy technical specifications.
• Design coordination for selected projects or components of projects, collaborating with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
• Managing effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
• Providing direction to the project team and promoting awareness of technical and commercial risk assessments and mitigation and best value design options.
• Working with junior engineers, designers and drafters and guiding them in delivery and their professional development.
