Job summary

Department of Education in Victoria seeks a fixed-term Child Safety Manager to lead a policy team delivering expert advice, guidance and training to create a culture of child safety in schools and across the department.

The role reports to the Family Violence and Child Safety Branch and will drive policy, collaboration and high-quality written outputs while supporting school and departmental wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading policy teams and advising senior leadership.
• Knowledge of child safety policy and Victorian Child Safe Standards.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of policy advisors to support schools and the department.
• Develop and deliver expert policy guidance, training and presentations.
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners across the department.
• Produce high-quality written work, including briefs and reports.
