Job summary

The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) is hiring a Senior Case Manager in Victoria. You will work with Aboriginal children and families, and with government and sector partners, to achieve better outcomes and build family capacity so children can remain safely at home or transition home.

You will implement Section 18 transfers, support the Team Leader, manage a higher workload, and mentor staff while using culturally safe therapeutic approaches and strong collaboration with external

Qualifications

• Diploma in social services or equivalent and relevant checks.
• Understanding VACCA values and leadership in practice.
• Awareness of Aboriginal cultures and community issues.
• Ability to assess risks and develop care plans.
• Experience documenting case notes and reports clearly.
• Collaborate with police, courts and service providers.

Responsibilities

• Work with Aboriginal children, families and partners for better outcomes.
• Implement CYFA Section 18 transfers and support the team.
• Handle complex workloads with trauma-affected families using culturally safe approaches.
