Job summary

EPG Payroll & HR Australia is recruiting a skilled Cabinetmaker for a full-time role in Sydney. You will take specifications, cut out and assemble custom cabinets, routing and sanding, and install doors, drawers and components for custom furniture.

The position requires excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings and work with stakeholders to ensure quality. AQF Cert IV or higher is desirable, with industry experience accepted as substitute.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ work experience in a Cabinetmaker role or similar.
• Education – AQF Cert IV or higher qualification desirable. Industry experience may substitute.
• Good hand-eye coordination with an eye for detail.
• Good technical design and production skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently as required.
• Confidence to communicate with multiple stakeholders and to manage expectations.

Responsibilities

• Take specifications, undertake cutout and assembly of custom cabinets.
• Routing and sanding of custom cabinets.
• Review drawings and specifications to create custom furniture.
• Installation of doors, drawers, and other components for custom furniture.
• Ensure product quality is met.
• Undertake repair, maintenance, and refining where required.
