Job summary

Profectus is seeking experienced BI Developers to design, build and maintain reports and dashboards for Australian Government programs. The role focuses on semantic data models, complex SQL, and secure, scalable reporting across large data sources.

Hybrid working arrangements with Canberra preference, and the opportunity to work across executive and service delivery teams to translate business needs into robust BI solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BI or reporting development roles.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Data modelling for reporting (star schemas).
• Gathering and translating reporting requirements.
• Experience working with large data sets from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain reports and dashboards.
• Develop semantic data models and measures for reporting.
• Write SQL queries and data transformations for reporting.
• Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders.
• Validate report data against source systems and resolve discrepancies.
• Optimise report and data model performance.
• Apply row-level security and access controls to reports.
• Publish, manage and support reports in production.
• Document data sources, report logic and definitions.
