XPT Software is seeking a skilled software engineer in Melbourne with advanced Java expertise and strong Go capabilities. The role focuses on designing and deploying API/microservice architectures using Spring Boot, decoding high-performance network protocols, and managing API gateways.

You will work with Docker and Kubernetes, plus relational and non-relational databases, and messaging systems like Kafka and ActiveMQ. A government security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java is essential.
• Golang proficiency is highly advantageous.
• Strong experience with API/Microservices and Spring Boot.
• Ability to decode and process high-performance network protocols.
• Familiarity with API gateways such as WSO2 or NGINX is advantageous.
• Hands-on DevOps with Bamboo, Jira, Bitbucket/GitLab, SonarQube, Veracode.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse).
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka and ActiveMQ.
