Qualifications

• Previous consulting experience is a must.
• Proven experience leading projects in an MSP/Consultancy environment.
• Strong technical background across VMware, Hyper-V, Exchange, and Wintel.
• Recent expertise within the Azure Infrastructure stack.
• Experience migrating VMs into Azure and building Azure Landing Zones.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Vendor-specific certifications in Azure or Microsoft are preferred.
• Excellent design and documentation skills are essential.
• Strong communication and consultative skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Pre-sale teams on design documentation and scoping.
• Lead full end-to-end solutions from design to delivery.
• Take ownership of projects such as Azure landing zones and VM migrations.
• Ensure seamless solution transitions to the Managed Services team.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Azure Infrastructure.

An Australian-wide Cloud Solutions Provider is looking for an experienced Technical Consultant to join their Professional Services arm of the business. The Technical Consultant will work closely with the Pre-sales team in the detail design and low level design of Azure Infrastructure solutions, as well as taking ownership of the delivery of the solutions.

The company is an established player in Australia who offer a range of solutions across Azure, Modern Workplace, Modern Apps, Data/AI, and CyberSecurity. They work primarily with mid-market & enterprise clients on complex solutions and are in the top 1% of Microsoft partners in Australia.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has a background in traditional infrastructure and has moved into Azure Infrastructure solutions over the last few years. What you will be doing:

• Collaborate with Pre-sale teams on design documentation and scoping of Modern Infrastructure Solutions
• Lead full end-to-end solutions from detail design to delivery
• Take ownership of projects such as building out Azure landing zones, migrating VMs into Azure, Azure Infrastructure builds
• Ensure seamless transition of solutions to Managed Services team
• Act as an SME in Azure Infrastructure

What you need to succeed:

• Must have previous consulting experience
• Must have proven experience leading end-to-end projects in an MSP/Consultancy environment
• Strong technical background across Infrastructure (VMware, Hyper‑V, Exchange, Wintel)
• Recent expertise within the Azure Infrastructure stack
• Experience migrating VMs into Azure, building Azure Landing Zones, cloud infrastructure migrations
• Experience working with IaC tools such as Terraform
• Vendor specific certifications in Azure or MS is a nice to have
• Excellent design and documentation skills
