Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise data warehouse and data integration solutions.
• Advanced SQL and T-SQL development skills.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse Pipelines.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
• Experience with Graph Databases (Neo4j or Microsoft Graph).
• Experience in government or highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse Pipelines.
• Develop scalable dimensional data models, including star schemas, to support reporting and analytics.
• Develop and optimise SQL and T-SQL solutions for enterprise data platforms.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into Azure-based data environments.
• Develop and maintain solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, and related Azure services.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are maintained.
• Support continuous improvement of enterprise data engineering capabilities and best practices.
