Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited is seeking a Quality Engineer for AI-enabled testing. You will help redefine the QA approach in an AI-first environment, building AI-driven testing frameworks and automating test generation and reviews across platforms.

The role focuses on embedding automated testing into CI/CD, expanding coverage, and guiding teams on best practices to deliver faster, more reliable software for customers.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience applying AI to testing and quality
• Ability to embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Strong foundations in web, API and integration testing
• Experience coaching teams on modern QA practices
• Familiarity with AI-assisted test generation and analysis

What role will you play?

In this role you will help redefine quality engineering in an AI-first environment, using artificial intelligence to strengthen test automation, improve coverage and identify issues earlier in the development lifecycle. You will help shape our quality engineering approach, build AI-enabled testing practices and frameworks, and coach others on modern quality engineering techniques that support faster, more reliable delivery.

What you offer

• Strong hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude or GitHub Copilot to generate, review and maintain automated tests.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code and tests, identifying correctness issues, coverage gaps, unreliable tests and potential risks.
• Strong foundations in test automation, including web automation, integration testing, API testing and testing best practices.
• Experience embedding automated testing into continuous integration and continuous delivery processes, with the ability to coach teams on early testing practices.
• Experience applying artificial intelligence across the quality engineering lifecycle, including automated test generation, intelligent test selection, failure analysis and quality reporting.
