Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking a Senior Auditor to join the Sydney Assurance & Advisory team on a permanent basis. You will manage end-to-end engagements across listed, private, public sector and not-for-profit clients, while mentoring graduates and audit assistants. The role emphasizes quality, client service and progression toward leadership.

You will contribute to audits in diverse sectors and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value with integrity and professional judgment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of external audit experience across diverse client types.
• Demonstrated experience acting as in-charge on engagements, supervising teammates.
• Exceptional communication and people skills.
• CA qualified or near qualified.
• Working knowledge of Australian or International Auditing Standards and Australian Corporations Act.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality audit work across significant and complex areas with supervision tool support.
• Identify and address technical accounting and auditing matters, escalating when needed.
• Review financial statements and disclosures for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Prepare client-facing audit outputs and communications for management and governance.
• Work across multiple audit engagements and collaborate with engagement teams to meet quality and deadlines.
• Build strong client relationships through professional, responsive service and clear communication.
• Coach graduates and audit assistants in line with RSM methodology.
• Develop project management and leadership capability towards Assistant Manager.
