You will have a strong history of technical proficiency in the Atlassian ecosystem — including Jira, Confluence, workflows, automation, scripting, marketplace apps and integrations — and an aptitude for consulting. You’re comfortable leadingclient engagements and enjoy working solo or leading small teams of two to three.
Your strength goes beyond platform knowledge: you’re a problem-solver first. You take time to understand the underlying business challenge, translate technical ideas into clear language, and gently challenge assumptions. You balance functionality, cost and time, and you don’t just deliver what’s asked — you look for the real “why” to ensure the the problem.
Working in our Rapid Delivery Practice, using the Atlassian and Microsoft Power platforms to deliver accelerated solutions to our clients, you will be hands-on developing and delivering solutions. You’ll have support from your above, while still enjoying the autonomy to take ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead engagements on your own or with a team, to deliver rapid solutions using Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management
Configure and customise Jira and Confluence — including spaces, work item types, workflows, fields, screens, schemes, permissions, SLA policies and service request processes
Use the Atlassian stack to design and implement advanced solutions across diverse industries
Build automation to streamline processes using Atlassian Automation or API-based integrations
Understand business needs and objectives, and translate those requirements into user stories, backlog items and Atlassian configuration changes
Install, configure and optimise Atlassian Cloud environments; Data Center knowledge welcomed
Perform testing or peer review of configuration and workflow changes
Use Web APIs for integrations; SQL familiarity helpful
Apply Agile delivery practices across projects.
Manage releases, environments, configuration/version control and CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure quality through structured testing, documentation and knowledge sharing.
Support change and adoption to ensure solutions land well with end users.
Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to uplifting the team’s capability.
Power Platform responsibilities (growth area)
Gradually take on Power Platform work — Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Dataverse — as your capability grows, while remaining an Atlassian specialist
Build low-code applications, workflows and dashboards as cross-training progresses
Residency:
Perth resident with independent Australian working rights
Experience &Expertise:
3–5+ years of strong, hands-on experience delivering solutions using Atlassian tools, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Confluence
Deep experience configuring spaces, workflows, custom fields, permission schemes, service desk components and SLA settings
Strong experience working with automation (Jira Automation, ScriptRunner etc.) and integrating Atlassian tools with external systems
Ability to understand needs and objectives and translating requirements into clear backlog items and Atlassian configuration changes
Experience as a Scrum Master or delivering small projects with autonomy
Knowledge of Agile ways of working, user story writing, backlog management and iterative delivery
Strong documentation quality assurance and testing discipline
Experience working directly with clients in a consultancy or delivery-focused environment is highly preferred
A genuine interest in building capability in the Microsoft Power Platform — prior exposure helpful but not required
Leadership
