Job summary

DLA Piper's Melbourne office is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Litigation & Regulatory team, working closely with partners on complex regulatory investigations and high-stakes litigation.

You will act for regulators and clients, manage multiple workstreams in Federal Court matters, and develop litigation strategies. The role emphasizes collaboration, client service, and mentoring junior lawyers within a global firm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' PQE in disputes, litigation or regulatory practice.
• Experience in regulatory investigations, enforcement matters, commercial litigation or competition and consumer law.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent drafting, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Sound commercial judgement and ownership of complex matters.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to outstanding client service.
• Interest in mentoring and supporting the development of junior lawyers.

Responsibilities

• Advise on complex regulatory enforcement matters, investigations and commercial litigation.
• Act for regulators in high-profile enforcement proceedings and investigations.
• Manage workstreams across Federal Court litigation, regulatory inquiries and contested proceedings.
• Work directly with clients, counsel and regulators to develop and implement litigation strategies.
• Build trusted client relationships and contribute to exceptional service delivery.
• Support the development of junior lawyers and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
• Collaborate with litigation and regulatory specialists across Australia and internationally.
