Job summary

Minter Ellison in Sydney seeks a Senior Associate to join our Corporate M&A team, focusing on Private Capital transactions for sponsor clients and corporates. You will lead deal workstreams, coordinate due diligence, advise on structuring and regulatory matters, mentor junior lawyers and help develop client relationships in a fast-paced environment.

You will work on domestic and cross-border matters, partnering with senior lawyers to drive successful outcomes, and contribute to business

Qualifications

• Current Australian practising certificate with ~5+ PQE in M&A/private capital.
• Experience advising on Private Capital transactions including investments, buyouts, exits.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for complex transaction documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
• Excellent commercial judgement and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal workstreams on private capital acquisitions, disposals and investments.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and provide risk-focused advice.
• Advise on deal structuring, regulatory matters and completion mechanics.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to their development.
• Build client relationships and support business development.
