Job summary

Hooker and Heijden - Insurance and Underwriting Recruitment in Brisbane, QLD, seeks a Solicitor/Associate/Senior Associate (Plaintiff Personal Injury) for a mixed-practice role. Manage a varied PI file with independence aligned to experience, including WorkCover, public liability, and institutional abuse claims.

You may supervise junior lawyers and paralegals and work directly with principals on complex matters. Admitted in Queensland with 2–10 years PQE in plaintiff PI preferred.

Qualifications

• Admitted in Queensland with 2–10 years PQE in plaintiff personal injury.
• Experience with pre-court procedures, compulsory conferences and litigation.
• Exposure to CTP, WorkCover and PIPA schemes.
• Comfortable with clients who are dealing with injury, loss or trauma.

Responsibilities

• Manage a mixed plaintiff PI file with level of independence guided by experience.
• Supervise junior lawyers and paralegals and work with principals on complex matters.
• Collaborate with the partners on strategy and case management.
