Job summary

SMEC invites applications for a Senior Associate Engineer – Roads & Highways (Pavements) in New South Wales. You will lead pavement engineering design and technical delivery across major road, highway, airport and transport projects, acting as a technical authority and mentoring teams.

You will bring 12+ years of pavement engineering experience, Chartered Engineer status or eligibility, and a track record of leading multidisciplinary projects while developing client relationships and supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years’ experience in pavement engineering and transport infrastructure.
• Demonstrated expertise in pavement design, rehabilitation and asset management.
• Extensive knowledge of Austroads guides, TfNSW standards and Australian Standards.
• Chartered Engineer status (or eligibility to obtain).
• Proven experience leading major infrastructure projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Experience preparing and overseeing technical proposals and project bids.
• Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring skills.
• A recognised reputation for technical excellence within the transport infrastructure industry.

Are you ready to lead the delivery of complex pavement engineering solutions on some of Australia’s most significant transport infrastructure projects?

As a Senior Associate Engineer – Roads & Highways (Pavements), you’ll provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of major road, highway, airport and transport infrastructure projects. You’ll be recognised as a subject matter expert, guiding project teams, mentoring engineers and influencing technical outcomes while helping to grow and strengthen our pavements capability across New South Wales.
