Job summary

Leading international law firm in Sydney seeks a Solicitor or Senior Associate (3+ PAE) to join the market-leading Competition & Regulatory practice. You will work with experienced Partners on complex matters for major domestic and international clients.

Engage with merger clearances, regulatory investigations and client matters, while mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the growth of the practice.

Qualifications

• Ideally at least 3 years' post-admission experience in Competition & Regulatory practice or within an Australian regulatory authority.
• Strong experience in competition and consumer law, particularly merger clearances and regulatory matters.
• Sound understanding of Australian competition law and the evolving merger control regime.
• Excellent legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
• Proactive, commercially minded approach and interest in regulatory developments and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Advise on complex competition, consumer law and regulatory matters for major domestic and international clients.
• Assist with merger clearances and advise on regulatory requirements under Australia's merger control regime.
• Act on cartel and behavioural investigations, competition litigation and regulatory enforcement proceedings.
• Work directly with clients and regulatory authorities on significant transactions and investigations.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to client relationships and the ongoing growth of the practice.
