Grant Thornton Australia is recruiting a Senior Associate to join the Audit team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, ideal for Working Holiday Visa professionals seeking Australian experience. You will lead independent statutory audits, manage client relationships, and drive quality work papers.

About this role

Are you an experienced Auditor looking for a short term contract role in Australia to set yourself up for summer? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Audit team on a 6 month fixed‑term contract. This role is ideal for a Working Holiday Visa professional looking to build Australian experience.

Key responsibilities

• Drive independent statutory audits of public listed and unlisted companies, proprietary companies, incorporated associations and other not-for-profit entities and government bodies’ financial reports
• Create complete and accurate audit work papers
• Identify and report on client financial risks
• Expand your analytical skills to examine clients’ financial statements and ensure they comply with statutory requirements
• Investigate difficult technical and application issues to improve client outcomes

Skills & experience

• Experience in similar Audit & Assurance environment with sound knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards
• CA/CPA full qualification or other relevant overseas qualification
• Exceptional client relationship and communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
