Job summary

MinterEllison in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Associate to join our industry-leading Projects, Energy and Resources practice. You will work closely with Peter Block on complex infrastructure, procurement, structuring, development and financing of major projects both domestically and internationally.

You will collaborate across practice groups, contribute to high-profile transactions, and have a clear pathway to partnership for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 6+ years post-admission experience gained within a large commercial law firm.
• Experience in infrastructure, projects or construction matters highly regarded.
• Strong communication, technical drafting and problem-solving skills.
• Team player attitude and ability to mentor junior team members.
• Demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and fellow advisers.
• Resilience and a commitment to provide exceptional levels of service to our local and international client base.

Responsibilities

• Advise on infrastructure projects, procurement, project structuring, development and financing of large and complex infrastructure and corporate projects.
• Collaborate with teams across other practice groups on complex matters.
• Engage with Peter Block and other partners to deliver high-profile transactions.
• Provide mentorship and career development for junior lawyers in Melbourne.

Peter Block leads our Melbourne Projects practice and is widely acknowledged for his strategic counsel on complex project structuring, procurement, and financing matters. The Role

Due to an increase in deal flow and a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for a Senior Associate to join our industry market-leading Projects, Energy and Resources practice in Melbourne.

Working closely with Peter Block, a highly regarded partner with extensive experience advising on major infrastructure and energy projects across Australia and internationally, you will engage in a diverse range of complex matters. These include advising on infrastructure projects, procurement, project structuring, development, and financing of large and complex infrastructure and corporate projects. Due to the broad nature of the work, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across other practice groups.
