Job summary

Santos Ltd in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to optimise surface assets, improve safety, reliability and emissions. You’ll lead RTP and production optimisation with Operations and Maintenance, applying SMS and risk frameworks while mentoring junior engineers.

You will collaborate across gas, oil and water assets, pipelines, and compression systems, delivering value through data-driven solutions and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

Engineering degree in mechanical, chemical, process or electrical engineering.
Chartered Engineer and/or RPEQ certification preferred.
Experience in Production/Facilities/Operations Engineering in Oil & Gas.

Responsibilities

Monitor facility performance to identify production shortfalls and actions.
Lead risk-based work selection and change management aligned with SMS.
Champion a 'produce every molecule' mindset to maximise production.
Identify initiatives to reduce costs and improve asset value.
Drive emissions reduction initiatives and collaborate across teams.
Lead mentoring of junior engineers and align with Santos values.
