Job summary

Gippsland Water in Traralgon, Victoria, is seeking a Senior Asset Engineering Leader to drive the development and continuous improvement of its asset management framework, ensuring safe and reliable water and wastewater services for the Gippsland community.

The role requires strategic leadership in asset lifecycle planning, information governance, and decision-making processes to enable effective investment, risk management and long-term service outcomes for customers and the community.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in lifecycle asset management within water, wastewater or comparable infrastructure assets.
• Strong knowledge of asset management frameworks, condition assessment, risk management, asset performance monitoring and renewal planning.
• Experience developing and implementing asset management strategies aligned with recognised standards, including ISO 55000.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and experience leading technical teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of Gippsland Water’s asset management framework, systems and practices to support safe, reliable and sustainable service delivery.
• Provide strategic leadership for asset lifecycle planning, information governance and asset management decision-making processes.
• Enable effective investment, risk management and long-term service outcomes for customers and the community.
