Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Appian Designer / Developer with 5+ years of hands-on Appian experience to design, develop and deliver enterprise-grade business applications using the Appian Low-Code Platform.

The role combines solution design, hands-on Appian development and technical leadership. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, analysts and development teams to translate business requirements into scalable workflow solutions, integrations and user experiences.

• Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade applications using the Appian Low-Code Platform.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable process models, SAIL interfaces, business rules, data structures and integrations.
• Design and develop complex Appian applications, ensuring performance, security, scalability and maintainability.
• Build and configure Process Models, SAIL Forms, Records, Reports, Expression Rules, Decision Rules, Sites and CDTs.
• Develop integrations with external systems, APIs, databases and enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, product owners and stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct code/design reviews and mentor Appian developers.
• Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues and support performance optimisation.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, estimation, sprint planning, testing, releases and production deployments.
• Ensure adherence to Appian development standards, governance, best practices and quality processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, platform adoption and reusable Appian components.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Appian development and solution design.
• Appian certification such as Appian Senior Developer or equivalent.
• Strong experience with Appian BPM, Process Models, SAIL, Records, Reports, Rules and Integrations.
• Strong understanding of Appian architecture, data modelling and workflow automation.
• Experience integrating Appian with external systems using REST APIs, web services and databases.
• Good knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL.
• Experience with application deployment, version control and CI/CD practices.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in production support, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior/mid-level Appian developers.
