We're looking for a highly experienced Senior API Developer to join Medibank’s Digital Delivery team. This is a hands-on development role, playing a key part in building high-quality, scalable APIs that power our digital services. This is an initial 6 month contract with a daily rate of $900 incl super per day.

Key responsibilities:

Develop robust, reusable, and supportable digital assets

Drive technology standards and mentor developers across squads

Build and maintain APIs using Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Node.js, and AWS services

Contribute to agile delivery processes and continuous improvement

What you’ll bring:

10+ years’ experience in API and integration development

Deep knowledge of REST, SOAP, pub-sub, messaging patterns, and microservices

Proficiency with tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and JIRA

Strong hands on coding skills - Java 17 or later

Strong AWS experience (e.g. EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)

Background in Agile delivery and DevOps culture
