Job summary

AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software, seeks a Senior Payroll Specialist to be based in Brisbane. You will manage the outsourced payroll provider, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant Australia payroll, with the ability to support APAC payroll activities as required.

You will collaborate with the People Partner and Finance teams to meet statutory requirements, drive payroll governance, and implement updates across regions while maintaining data integrity and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years of Australian payroll experience.
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and regulations.
• Experience coordinating payroll across multiple countries within APAC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the outsourced payroll provider.
• Manage payroll processing calendar and deadlines.
• Review payroll outputs for accuracy before approval.
• Monitor vendor service levels and address payroll issues.
• Validate payroll inputs (new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, leave).
• Lead out-of-cycle payments and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end payroll activities.
• Coordinate payroll tax calculations and statutory reporting.
