Xero is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to build and maintain Xero Me’s mobile apps, part of our Payroll product used by small businesses to manage pay, leave and expenses with reliability and performance. You’ll own architectural decisions, collaborate across platforms, and mentor engineers while evolving cross‑platform native mobile capabilities.

This role blends hands‑on coding with leadership to raise the team’s craft.

Qualifications

• Experience with Android engineering at scale and performance optimization.
• Experience applying AI techniques to daily development workflows.
• Fluency across Android and iOS environments and shared architectural decisions.
• Design or evolve service endpoints, APIs and integrations, including cloud services.
