About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive, product‑focused Senior Android Engineer who’s excited to take on multiple responsibilities and ship features that bring joy to users and value to restaurants. You’ll join a team where you can have real influence, wide scope, and room to grow in a fun and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams
• Designing and building advanced features and systems for iOS in Swift and Objective C
• Mentoring and influencing team members
• Improving application performance
• Continuously improving application and code quality

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• A minimum of 3–5 years of commercial experience as a Senior Engineer working in Java
• Full working rights in Australia

Required Skills

• Years of experience as a Senior Engineer working in Android development
• Experienced in both Java and Kotlin
• You’ve shipped apps to Google Play
• You love building beautiful, smooth, pixel‑perfect UIs
• Proficient in creating practical and fun user interfaces
• Confident working with native APIs and creating performant implementations
• Strong understanding of Software Development principles
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with REST and GraphQL
• Solid experience and excellent grasp in performance tuning and debugging
• Proficient in automated unit testing and writing testable code
• Familiar with modern app architectures and design patterns
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A mentoring and influencing mindset
• A proactive mindset, ready to roll up your sleeves

Preferred Skills

• Have experience with AWS (S3, AppSync, API Gateway, Lambda, etc.)
• Have experience in building automated CI/CD pipelines
