Job description

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Line 1 Risk, to join our team on a 12 month max term basis.

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Line 1 Risk, to join our team on a 12 month max term basis.
As a Senior Analyst, Line 1 Risk, you'll play a key role in partnering with business leaders to ensure risk is managed effectively across their division. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll provide practical risk guidance, help strengthen controls, support key change initiatives, and contribute to the ongoing maturity of our risk management practices.
Working closely with business stakeholders, Group Risk (Line 2), Compliance and other teams across the organisation, you'll help identify emerging risks, assess impacts, and ensure appropriate controls and treatments are in place. You'll support the development and maintenance of risk profiles, contribute to risk assessments, and provide valuable insights that help leaders make informed decisions.
You'll also play an important role in strengthening the organisation's control environment through the design and enhancement of key controls. This includes supporting business-led change initiatives by identifying risk impacts, contributing to control design discussions and ensuring risks are appropriately assessed and managed throughout the change lifecycle.
Beyond day-to-day risk activities, you'll contribute to risk governance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives while helping to build risk capability across the business through coaching, guidance and training. Working collaboratively across the three lines of defence, you'll help create practical risk solutions that support both regulatory compliance and commercial outcomes.

About You

You're an experienced risk professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders to solve problems, improve processes and influence positive outcomes. You bring a pragmatic mindset and can translate complex risk concepts into clear, actionable advice that enables the business to move forward with confidence.
You'll have experience working within a risk management environment, ideally within financial services or another highly regulated industry, and a sound understanding of non-financial risk frameworks, controls and governance practices. You're naturally analytical, curious and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify emerging issues, uncover root causes and recommend effective solutions.
Your strong communication skills allow you to build trusted relationships across a broad range of stakeholders, while your organisational skills help you manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. You'll be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, contributing to team success while taking ownership of your own work.
To be successful in this role, you'll hold a degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management or a related discipline and have at least three years' experience in risk management. Experience supporting the development and implementation of risk frameworks, risk assessments and control effectiveness activities will be highly regarded. Exposure to Technology, Cybersecurity or Financial Crime Operations environments would be particularly beneficial, as would professional qualifications such as FRM, PRM or CPA.
Most importantly, you'll enjoy working with others, bringing a positive and collaborative approach while helping to foster a culture where effective risk management is embedded in everything we do.
