Our client is a fast-growing Australian renewable energy developer with a strong and diversified portfolio across wind, solar, and battery storage. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of the energy transition, supporting complex transactions, major project development, and strategic corporate initiatives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Build and review advanced financial models covering project economics, capital structures, and investment returns.
  • Support debt and equity financing processes, engaging directly with banks, investors, and advisors.
  • Develop high-quality investment papers, board presentations, and financial analyses to support senior decision-making.
  • Conduct due diligence on new developments, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
  • Assess M&A and partnership opportunities, including valuations and risk-return considerations.
  • Monitor industry, regulatory, and policy trends shaping the energy transition.
  • Collaborate with technical, legal, and commercial teams on transactions and project financing.
  • Provide oversight and mentorship to junior team members where needed.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in corporate finance, investment banking, infrastructure advisory, or energy/renewables.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation expertise (DCF, project finance, IRR/NPV, scenario planning).
  • Exposure to capital raising, transaction execution, and stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of energy markets, project development, or infrastructure deals an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset and genuine passion for sustainability and the energy transition.
