Job summary

Pulse Doctors is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist for Royal Darwin Hospital in Darwin, NT, Australia. This permanent role offers a generous salary up to AUD 550,000, with an expedited pathway for UK and Irish-trained anaesthetists, and the chance to deliver high-quality peri-operative care while supervising registrars and junior doctors.

Qualifications

• Registered as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of FANZCA or equivalent.
• UK CCT with FRCA or Irish CSCST with FCAI holders may apply through the Expedited Specialist Pathway.
• Ability to be credentialed by the hospital before commencing.

Responsibilities

• Provide anaesthesia, analgesia, peri-operative and related services.
• Participate in after-hours on-call roster.
• Provide pre-operative assessments and outpatient/ward consultations.
• Supervise registrars and junior doctors; contribute to education program.
• Collaborate with surgical, ICU and emergency teams for safe patient outcomes.
• Engage in research, audit and service evaluation.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Work across Royal Darwin Hospital and Top End sites as required.
• Engage in continuing professional development and annual appraisal.
