Job summary

Qantas Airways is seeking a Senior Component Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement of aircraft components at the Sydney Distribution Centre, Mascot. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and optimal cost, quality, and service, supporting the Engineering and operations teams.

You will use data to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and help achieve supply chain performance targets.

Qualifications

Experience in purchasing or procurement functions within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Experience sourcing and procuring aircraft components or technical materials (desirable).
Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities to drive performance.

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end purchasing activities for aircraft components and technical materials.
Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships and contracts.
Expedite critical orders and resolve supply and inventory issues.
Use data insights to identify trends and improvement opportunities and support supplier performance management.
