Job summary

CommonAI CIC is seeking a Senior AI Systems Administrator to provision and maintain multi-rack GPU server clusters for inference and training workloads. The role requires hands-on engineering across hardware and software orchestration, with access to cutting-edge AI tooling.

We value experience in GPU deployments, advanced Linux, high-performance networking, and collaboration with users and stakeholders to iteratively optimise systems.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as System Administrator, HPC Engineer or MLOps Engineer.
• GPU server deployment, tuning and management expertise.
• Advanced networking (Infiniband, RDMA, RoCE).
• Advanced Linux systems with virtualization (VMs, multiple distros).
• Source control and IaC tools (Git, Terraform, OpenTofu).
• Strong network design, switches/routers/firewalls.
• Collaborative mindset working with users and stakeholders to optimise systems.

Responsibilities

• Provision and maintain multi-rack GPU server clusters for inference and training.
• Operate and optimise cutting-edge AI tooling across the stack.
• Collaborate with users and stakeholders to iteratively improve systems.
• Occasional maintenance outside UK business hours may be scheduled.
