Job summary

Fivecast is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join the engineering team to scope, design, develop, integrate and test software for a large web-based application. You will drive generative and agentic AI capabilities across the product and collaborate with peers to deliver reliable software.

You will design data storage models using Postgres and Elastic, mentor a small team, and deploy applications in AWS, using Java, React/Angular, and Spring. Strong documentation and UML skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems or software engineering/computer science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering/technology development.
• Experience implementing generative AI and agentic AI solutions.
• Ability to lead AI adoption initiatives within a development team.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, including UML.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test software components in Java.
• Implement generative AI and agentic AI solutions in software products.
• Design data storage models using Postgres and Elastic.
• Coach a small team of developers for quality and timely delivery.
• Deploy and manage applications in a cloud environment (AWS).
• Work with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) and frameworks (React, Angular, Spring).
