Job summary

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, delivery and optimisation of enterprise AI and automation solutions across RACGP. You will mentor engineers, work with stakeholders, and ensure secure, scalable AI capabilities that deliver ongoing business value.

You will report to the AI & Automation Manager and play a pivotal role in governance, security, and value-driven decision making, while promoting flexible hybrid work

Qualifications

• Strong hands on experience with Microsoft Azure, AI Agent Development and Automation skills.
• Proven technical leadership and mentoring capability.

About the role:

Reporting to the AI & Automation Manager, you will lead the design, delivery and optimisation of enterprise AI and automation solutions across RACGP. Working closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects and delivery partners, you'll create and maintain scalable AI capabilities, establish technical standards, mentor engineers and ensure solutions remain secure, reliable and deliver ongoing business value.

As our Senior AI Engineer, you'll also:

• Consult with the business to identify AI and automation opportunities
• Develop business cases, estimates and value-driven recommendations
• Apply governance, privacy, security and responsible AI standards
• Mentor engineers and uplift delivery capability across the team.
