Job summary

Horizon Power in Bentley, WA seeks a Senior AI Architect to establish our AI target state, roadmaps, governance and reusable patterns guiding AI investment and enterprise-wide transformation. You will lead strategic integration of GenAI, RAG and intelligent automation, shaping how the business leverages AI across functions.

You will build trusted relationships with senior leaders, translating complex AI opportunities into secure, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture direction

A unique opportunity to create a legacy, you will define the foundations of Enterprise AI, providing strategic architecture leadership and assurance across our most critical AI initiatives while influencing how the business leverages emerging technologies to create value.
In this role you will build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across business, technology and external partners, acting as a strategic advisor who drives alignment on AI strategy, architecture decisions, investment priorities and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities will include:

• Lead Enterprise AI Strategy & Architecture
  Define and govern the Enterprise AI target state, architecture principles, standards, roadmaps, and reusable patterns that guide AI investment and delivery across the organisation.
• Shape and Design AI Solutions
  Partner with business and delivery teams to assess business-initiated AI use cases, define solution options and develop end-to-end architectures that translate business needs into secure, scalable and supportable AI solutions. Provide architecture leadership from discovery and feasibility through delivery for Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, AI assistants and intelligent automation
• Establish AI Governance & Platforms
  Define architecture requirements, governance frameworks, guardrails, and controls that enable the responsible, ethical, and sustainable adoption of AI technologies.
• Drive Capability & Technical Leadership
  Build organisational AI maturity through standards, architecture assurance, reusable frameworks, technology evaluation, and mentorship across architecture, data, cyber security, and delivery teams.
• Influence Strategic Stakeholders
  Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, business stakeholders and technology partners, helping shape AI opportunities, prioritise viable use cases and align solution decisions and investments with business outcomes and enterprise architecture direction.

What you’ll need to bring

• Senior level and proven experience in business capability uplift and transformation
• Proven Architecture Leadership: Extensive experience in enterprise, AI, platform, data or solution architecture within large and complex organisations
• Proven experience partnering with business stakeholders to shape AI use cases and producing end-to-end solution architectures covering applications, data, integration, security, platforms and operational support.
• TOGAF Foundations / Practitioner certification.
• Enterprise AI Expertise: Demonstrated success delivering AI strategies, target-state architectures, roadmaps, governance frameworks, and enterprise AI solutions including GenAI, RAG, intelligent automation and Agentic AI.
