Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a Senior Talent Advisor (Organisational Development) to lead and deliver workforce, leadership and organisational development priorities across the largest health system in Australia.

In this role, you will lead the implementation of talent and organisational development programs aligned to the NSW Health Talent Strategy 2022-2032, providing specialist advice across the Ministry of Health, public health organisations and government agencies.

About the role

Join NSW Health as a Senior Talent Advisor (Organisational Development) and play a key role in delivering workforce, leadership and organisational development priorities across the largest health system in Australia. In this role, you will lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of strategic talent initiatives that support a high-performing, capable and future-ready workforce.

Working within the Employee Experience and Talent Development team, you will lead the implementation of talent and organisational development programs aligned to the NSW Health Talent Strategy 2022-2032. You will provide specialist advice to stakeholders across the Ministry of Health, public health organisations and government agencies, while driving initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, succession planning, performance and talent management, workforce capability and organisational effectiveness.

The role also has responsibility for governance and stakeholder engagement activities relating to mandatory training frameworks, leadership development programs, capability initiatives and system-wide organisational development priorities.

What you will be doing
  • Develop and deliver talent and organisational development programs that support NSW Health's workforce and leadership priorities.
  • Work with stakeholders across NSW Health to identify workforce needs and provide practical talent management advice.
  • Review workforce capability and identify opportunities to build skills, support career development, and retain talented employees.
  • Lead talent review, succession planning, and leadership development activities to help build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Support organisational change initiatives through stakeholder engagement, workshops, communication, and change management activities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify workforce trends, evaluate programs, and recommend improvements.
About you

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative professional who can demonstrate:

  • Experience designing, implementing and evaluating talent development, leadership development, organisational development or workforce capability initiatives within a complex organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence outcomes across a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience using workforce data, assessment insights and evidence-based approaches to inform talent and organisational development decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes
  • Knowledge of contemporary talent management, succession planning, leadership development and organisational development practices.
