APA is seeking a Senior Advisor, Power Investment & Analytics in Perth to provide critical analytical support for investment decisions across the power portfolio. You'll build financial models, develop business cases, and deliver insights to drive APA's Energy Solutions strategy.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Power Development teams to evaluate and optimise power solutions that meet customer requirements and support APA's growth strategy.
• Develop business cases and provide techno-economic analysis, modelling and recommendations to support investment decisions across the power portfolio.
• Build and maintain financial models, forecasts and key assumptions, using data and benchmarking insights to assess opportunities and evaluate investment performance.
• Collaborate with Project Development teams, Corporate Finance and key business stakeholders to align priorities, support new opportunities and deliver Energy Solutions objectives.
• Prepare insightful reports and presentations for senior leaders and the Board, while coaching junior team members and ensuring compliance with regulatory and ringfencing requirements.

Reporting to the Manager, Power Investment & Analytics, we have an opportunity for a Senior Advisor, Power Investment & Analytics to join our team in Perth. In this role, you'll provide critical analytical support that underpins APA's investment decisions across our power portfolio. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll develop and assess business cases for power projects, deliver insights and help drive the successful delivery of APA's Energy Solutions strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Your background

• You will have tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, engineering or a related discipline, coupled with experience in investment analysis, corporate finance or commercial roles.
• You will bring strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with the ability to assess opportunities, develop insights and support complex investment decisions.
• You will have experience preparing business cases, forecasts and presentations for senior stakeholders, translating complex information into clear and actionable recommendations.
• You will bring a collaborative approach and proven ability to build effective relationships across technical, commercial and corporate teams to achieve shared outcomes.
• You will have strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

About the Team

The Power Investment and Analysis team supports the development of greenfield and brownfield power projects by modelling and optimising solutions that meet the customer's requirements. Typically, this involves identifying the solution with the lowest life cycle cost of energy and involves system requirements, capex estimation, renewable generation and utilisation, maintenance modelling, fuel consumption and emissions forecasting.
