Job summary

Zurich Australia, within the Life & Investments division, is seeking an Actuarial Analyst or Senior Actuarial Analyst to support the integration of actuarial models and systems across entities. You will analyze complex data to provide insights, and contribute to improving processes and controls while collaborating with various stakeholders.

You will work in a hybrid environment, applying Prophet modelling, and using R or Python for analytics.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies or related discipline.
• Progress towards Institute of Actuaries of Australia qualifications or equivalent.
• Experience with actuarial modelling systems such as Prophet Professional or Enterprise.
• Analytical skills with R or Python for analytics and data interpretation.
• Strong communication of technical findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the integration of actuarial models and systems across business entities.

• Contribute to review and improvement of actuarial processes and controls.
• Develop and maintain modelling and analytical solutions.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Support the integration of actuarial models and systems across business entities
• Analyse complex data and provide insights that support business decisions
• Contribute to the review and enhancement of actuarial processes and controls
• Develop and maintain modelling and analytical solutions using appropriate tools and methodologies
• Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and KPI requirement
• Prepare clear documentation to support governance and system change activities

To be successful, you will have the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies or a related discipline
• Progress towards Institute of Actuaries of Australia qualifications or equivalent
• Experience working with actuarial modelling systems such as Prophet Professional or Enterprise
• Capability in analytics, modelling, and data interpretation using tools such as R or Python
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify business improvement opportunities
• Experience communicating technical findings through reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement
