Job summary

Lucid is seeking a Senior Acoustic Engineer to join its national Acoustics team. You will lead acoustic design across building and environmental projects, model with SoundPLAN and Insul, and deliver high-quality reports while mentoring junior staff.

You’ll collaborate with clients, project teams and stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to Lucid’s growth in acoustics across Australia. Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised degree in Audio/Acoustics, Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in acoustic engineering or acoustic consulting.
• Strong technical knowledge across building and environmental acoustics.
• Experience using acoustic modelling software such as SoundPLAN and Insul.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and take ownership of project deliverables.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to develop others.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver acoustic engineering design, assessment and calculations across building and environmental projects.
• Undertake acoustic modelling and analysis using tools such as SoundPLAN and Insul.
• Prepare, review and deliver high-quality technical reports, assessments and project documentation.
• Provide technical advice and practical acoustic solutions to clients and project teams.
• Manage acoustic components of projects from initial assessment through to delivery.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, architects, engineers and other project stakeholders.
• Undertake site investigations, noise measurements and noise logger installations as required.
• Attend and lead client, site and project meetings.
• Support and mentor junior members of the Acoustics team.
• Contribute to project planning, technical reviews and quality outcomes.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to support growth of Lucid’s Acoustics capability.
