Your New Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join the team. This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping and commercial acumen, excellent data analytical skills, and a passion for accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
  • Receive and verify supplier invoices; resolve discrepancies.
  • Match invoices with delivery dockets and purchase orders (physical and digital).
  • Enter invoice details into the Accounts Payable system.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and calculate settlement discounts.
  • Prepare supplier accounts for approval and manage payment cycles.
  • Maintain and update the Accounts Payable ledger.
  • File and manage records (physical and digital).
Claims Management
  • Oversee and execute the full claims management process.
  • Create and manage supplier return documentation.
  • Respond promptly to supplier claims queries.
  • Follow up with suppliers if return authority confirmations are not received.
  • Investigate supplier pricing discrepancies and liaise with the Purchasing department to resolve.
  • Support the Cash Sale Liaison team with client payment management.
Other Duties
  • Recording accurately all supplier interactions.
  • Prioritise and manage email workflow promptly.
  • Perform other duties as required.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or a related diploma.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong software skills in MYOB, Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and follow up persistently with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
