Job summary

Perigon Group in Sydney is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the group finance function. You will handle consolidated financial reporting and statutory accounts, and provide technical accounting guidance across the business, with exposure to ad hoc projects and initiatives.

The role requires a CA/CPA qualification with a background from Big 4 or a large corporate environment, along with excellent Excel skills and strong IFRS knowledge.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified Accountant with 2nd move from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
• Experience in financial accounting in a group/corporate environment preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and solid knowledge of IFRS and related accounting standards.

Reporting into the Group FC of this large Australian business, this role presents a great opportunity to join this successful business, within a high performance, supportive team environment.

Sitting in group finance, you will be responsible for consolidated financial reporting/stat accounts and provision of technical accounting advice to the wider business. Whilst you'll have exposure to a number of ad hoc projects and initiatives.

You are a CA (or CPA) qualified Accountant making a 2nd move from a Big 4 or mid tier chartered firm - with experience in a financial accountant role (ideally group/corporate level). Or otherwise with a background in a similar role, within another large corporate environment.

You'll also have very well developed Excel skills, in-depth knowledge of accounting standards (including IFRS and financial instruments such as hedging, derivatives etc) and excellent communication skills.
