Job summary

Mastercard Australia and New Zealand Controllership Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to support statutory reporting, risk and compliance, and coordination of audits and tax across ANZ entities.

You will prepare financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews in line with IFRS, US GAAP and local requirements, partnering with tax advisers, auditors and business stakeholders to ensure robust controls and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience applying IFRS, US GAAP and local statutory reporting requirements.
• Ability to coordinate statutory audits and tax coordination.
• Strong analytical and financial skills with Excel macros experience.
• Proven project management and stakeholder communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and statutory adjustments for Australian and overseas entities.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules for audits.
• Interpret IFRS/GAAP changes and advise on accounting implications.
• Coordinate interim and year-end audits with auditors and tax advisers.
• Provide accounting guidance to business stakeholders and auditors.
• Drive process improvement and automation to enhance reporting accuracy.
