Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CA(SA) or equivalent is highly preferred.
Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience with emphasis on financial reporting.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS and South African accounting standards.
Proficiency in Sage and SAP; advanced Excel skills.
Experience in financial services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Manage the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate and properly supported.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to external auditors.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
Support financial planning and analysis activities, providing data for management reporting.
