Job summary

Lead Group in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Business Services & Tax team. You'll handle client assignments across SME and family-owned businesses, preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.

You will work with Managers and Partners on accounting, tax and advisory matters, build client relationships and manage deadlines. Flexible start times, WFH days after probation, and learning opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Australian public practice experience in Business Services and Tax.
• Experience at Senior level or ready to move up from Intermediate.
• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies and trusts.
• CA/CPA qualifications or progress towards completion.
• Confidence communicating with clients and meeting deadlines.
• Experience with accounting software (Xero/MYOB) and similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Manage workflow, deadlines and client queries.
• Prepare BAS/IAS and assist with tax planning.
• Collaborate with Managers and Partners on complex accounting and taxation matters.
• Develop understanding of clients’ businesses and contribute to advisory work.
