RSM Australia in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Business Advisory team. You will work with a diverse client portfolio and deliver high quality advisory and outsourcing services.

You'll collaborate with Managers and Partners to provide financial reporting, tax compliance, and strategic support across industries, while developing your technical skills and professional growth in a supportive, people-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce with Accounting major.
• Minimum 3 years' experience within public practice accounting.
• Strong proficiency in Xero Accounting Software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with current accounting and reporting standards.
• Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
• Analyse financial information and prepare management reports.
• Research and resolve complex accounting and taxation issues.
• Provide advice relating to GST, Capital Gains Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax, and other tax matters.
• Assist with client meetings and preparation of supporting documentation.
• Support a broad range of clients with business advisory services.
• Prepare clear and concise workpapers and documentation.
• Process daily accounting transactions and assist with month-end reporting.
