Bentley Recruitment is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a well-established Brisbane firm. You will manage a portfolio of SME clients, prepare financial statements and tax returns, and provide tax compliance and business advisory services.

Based in Brisbane CBD with a genuine pathway to Manager, this role offers hybrid work arrangements (2 days WFH once settled) and a clear route to leadership along with potential equity opportunities within a firm that has operated for over four decades.

Qualifications

• Experience in a public practice accounting firm.
• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards completion

The Role: Working closely with the leadership team, you will manage a portfolio of business clients while developing your advisory and client management skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of industries
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
• Providing tax compliance and business advisory services
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Assisting clients with business performance, tax planning and general accounting matters
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
• Working closely with Partners and Managers on more complex client matters

About You

• Experience in a public practice accounting firm
• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards completion
• Strong technical knowledge across tax and business services
• Confident communicating with clients and building lasting relationships
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage your own workflow
• Keen to progress into a Manager role and explore future equity opportunities
