Hearken Recruitment is seeking an experienced accountant in Melbourne to join a forward-thinking practice. The role emphasizes advisory work beyond compliance, with time spent reviewing client financials, offering strategic guidance, and engaging with clients directly.

Applicants should have CA/CPA qualification (or near completion) and at least 5+ years in Australian public practice, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Residency/citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns, financial statements, BAS, etc for companies, trusts, partnerships and groups of entities.
• Experience with Div7a, CGT, FBT, and other technical issues you would expect to find in public practice.
• Permanent Residency or Citizenship.

Responsabilités

• Provide advisory services beyond compliance, helping clients understand financials and strategic implications.
• Review and discuss client financials, prepare recommendations and present them clearly to clients.
• Collaborate with offshore providers for repetitive preparation and focus time on advisory work.
